A college friend of mine had a pet gecko who went missing. After three months and all hope of finding him had passed, the gecko was discovered living in the laundry pile which looked very much like yours!
scary! Fr. Greg, they eat cockroaches don’t they?
Reminds me that we used to find little wet salamanders under the compost in what was an otherwise parched and arid backyard garden. Just be glad it was an escaped gecko then, and not a spontaneously generated salamander.
