From Toronto’s Globe and Mail (which feed has it b4 the local news feed, oddly…): Blue Angels jet crashes at South Carolina show:
“A Navy F-18 Blue Angel jet crashed during an air show Saturday, plunging into a neighborhood of small homes and trailers and setting at least one on fire, witnesses said. One person was killed.
Witnesses said the planes were flying in formation during the show at the Marine Corps Air Station and one dropped below the trees and crashed. Raymond Voegeli, a plumber, was backing out of a driveway when the plane ripped through a grove of pine trees, dousing his truck in flames and debris.”
Let’s pray for the departed, and the homeless… and the traumatised.
(The RSS feed from the local paper says “7:38″ which is the same time stamp as this blog post. It came in just as I was posting this. Although the time stamp on the article says 6:30… mmm.)

This Sunday I was the celebrant at St. Andrew’s Antiochian Orthodox Church in Pensacola. We did a memorial prayer for Kevin at the end of the service, along with prayer for the VT people. It hit the congregation hard, all of them have been to see the Blue Angels and all have friends or relatives in the Armed Forces.
