No More Sitemeter

Recently some bad news has come to my attention about SiteMeter – the service I used to count visits, etc. In some (but, seemingly not all) cases, Sitemeter was installing a 3rd Party Cookie in order to generate income for themselves. (Props to Serge for the alert!)
Near as I can tell, neither Sarx nor +Z’ev was used for this 3rd Party cookie, but for the purpose of reader safety and privacy, as well as in support of ethical behaviour on the net, I’ve followed Serge in switching from SiteMeter to Stat Counter. (They have their own blog telling part of the same story.)
