Christ is Risen!

Be Poets of the Logos!

Sarx (σαρξ) is the Greek word for "flesh". This is the blog of a Southern Man (sojourning in Buffalo, NY) attempting to follow God in the way of Jesus.

I am ordained in the Independent Sacramental Movement, serving under the omophor of Bp Craig of the Universal Anglican Church. We are growing an Eastern Rite community here in Buffalo.

Disclaimer

I who have written this story, or rather this fable, give no credence to the various incidents related in it. For some things in it are the deceptions of demons, other poetic figments; some are probable, others improbable; while still others are intended for the delectation of foolish men. Sneak Peek @ Creation Museum

Sadly, it’s missing pictures of the Baby with the T-Rex, but here are some pics and a rewview of the new Creationist museum in KY.

Update: Friendly Athiest has a review of his trip inside the place. Notable lines:

We decided to go into the museum. Even though we didn’t have the Creationist attire of khaki pants, tucked-in shirt, and neatly parted hair.

It was like they couldn’t find enough examples of God missing from our culture so they recycled certain images over and over.

They said “Only 1 in 3…” as if that was exact, then gave us the actual statistic of 30%. Maybe this math was brought to us by the same people who say π = 3.

It’s also worth noting that the museum displays a “Wall of Fear and Loathing” that evinces rather a lot of homophobia on the part of the museum. (I’m not sure how esle to read a display that seems to equate the Columbine Masacre with Gene Robinson and Gay Teens.)

PS: who ever out there linked to Friendly Atheist, thanks! I’ll be adding that to the RSS feeds!
