Eight Things about Me.

3 July 2007 - 18 תמוז 5767 by Huw

OK, I’m bad. Pastor Larry tagged me way back on 14 June… he told me he tagged me. Then… I forgot.

Here are the rules…
1. Each player starts with eight random facts/habits about themselves.
2. People who are tagged need to write their own blog about their eight things and post these rules.
3.At the end of your blog, you need to choose eight people to get tagged and list their names.
4. Don’t forget to leave them a comment telling them they’re tagged, and to read your blog.

I didn’t do the “listing of 8 others” because the entire freaking world has already done this - even some of my most un-meme friends have done this meme.

If, by some chance, you have not done this: you’ve been tagged. Post a comment here and let me know.

1 Even though I work third shift and sleep all day, I play swapsies very easy. I do day shift every weekend end and have no trouble at all switching back to night shift on Monday.

2 I smoke - 2 cigarettes a day - except some days I don’t smoke at all. People ask why I don’t quit all the time.

3 According to one system my totem animals are: spider, dragonfly, rabbit, dolphin, bear and wolf. Synchronistically, all of those are actually important to me: I dreamed of spiders just this weekend and only now - typing this sentence - remember why that’s not a bad thing at all from the totem animal system.

4 In a full read of my astrological birth chart, almost everything is correct: but I’ve spent most of the last 25 years trying to prove it untrue.

5 One of the things on my astrological chart is that I question all authority and “occult knowledge”. I am an autodidact.

6 Despite trying to be rural for the last five years - and having a good time doing it - I really am an Urban animal.

7 I tend to call old friends out of the blue. I’ll look for them for years and call them up and scare them by acting like we had lunch yesterday. I did this until I noted, once, that I’m very easy to find on the internet - and none of these “friends” are looking for me.

8 I’m not so much a foodie as a hedonist when it comes to food. I like good, solid, traditional food: lasagne, roast beef, mashed potatoes and gravy, fried spam, brussel sprouts. I also like hippie food - sprouted seven grain bread and vegan stews - I make my own seitan or “wheat meat”. I like ethnic foods like Irish and Asian and Lebanese and Greek and Hungarian and Hawaiian and Afghani and English and Burmese cuisines. Yet I like good American foods too. I like cooking them, serving them and eating them. The kitchen is where I have my most non-naked auto-erotic moments.

  • Disclaimer

I who have written this story, or rather this fable, give no credence to the various incidents related in it. For some things in it are the deceptions of demons, other poetic figments; some are probable, others improbable; while still others are intended for the delectation of foolish men.
