Christ is Risen!

Be Poets of the Logos!

Sarx (σαρξ) is the Greek word for "flesh". This is the blog of a Southern Man (sojourning in Buffalo, NY) attempting to follow God in the way of Jesus.

I am a priest in the Russian Orthodox Church in America (ROCIA). We are growing a Mission community here in Buffalo.

Disclaimer

I who have written this story, or rather this fable, give no credence to the various incidents related in it. For some things in it are the deceptions of demons, other poetic figments; some are probable, others improbable; while still others are intended for the delectation of foolish men. Weekend Plan

With my new job schedule (I’ve just finished the fourth week of it – minus one week in Canada) I’ve found my weekend all over again. I wrap up work at midnight on Friday/Saturday and come home and then need not go back to work until midnight Monday/Tuesday. Although I work a “split double” on Friday (0000-0800 and 1600-0000) I’m surprisingly well-rested (although I end up having no time to blog or geek or socialise on Fridays) by the time I wake up (0555 hrs today).

And off we go.

I had an internet date with my my Brodie last night after work. Today I shall take the truck out for an oil change and a bit of a shopping trip. Tomorrow is church and some wee bit of social life, possibly. Movies not so much: Harry Potter is coming out this week!

Ok… so off to Valvoline with some coffee and my copy of The Copper Crown.
