From Hamilton…

D.G. I arrived in Hamilton early Friday morning - after one horrendous drive, surrouded by that obscene cockail that is three parts trucker and 5 parts tourist. Only the distance from Pittsburgh to Eire was devoid of same.
There were go leor of accidents and constructions and while I got here in decent time (772 miles in 18 hours including breaks and sleeping) I was frazzeled.
Yesterday (Friday) I had Lunch with Brodie and sent him to work (twice!) and then I met Peter for supper/coffee at a local Tim Horton’s. He and I had a long talk about church and politics and Fr. Tarazi and converts and Canada and America… We walked from Horton’s to the Parish of Our Lady of Glastonbury and then back. It was fun evening.
Today we’ve been shopping for the party - a bazillion kinds of local saussages for the grill, locally-grown fruits and veggies for salads and desserts and local beers for drinking. Now we’re about to clean.
Pics, probably, will be posted. But I’ve also been filming movies with my camera: they will need to be edited before I post ‘em b/c of the format issues.
More to come.

Sorry we missed you at the Oratory OLG on Sunday. There will be a Wedstern Rite Mass on Sunday 9 September with Fr. James (we were changiong this week the noticeboard so no service was announced other than on the website). I am sure you noticed the construction zone nextdoor for the Monsatic quarters for Christminster
I realized as I was fastening my seat belt that I’d wanted to get a picture of us. Oh well, maybe next time.
Peter - I thought about that too!. Doh!
Robert - I didn’t expect anyone to be there. I did notice the construction - in fact that’s what helped me find the building! We looked through the stained glass windows though. Probably won’t be back in Hamilton until after the construction is finished.
