Asheville Flag Contest…

Here are the entries for the Officially Unofficial Asheville Flag Contest. There are some really nice ones - and some coloured with local humour. The Butt Pirate one is, well… funny. As is the Confederate Fag one. You’d have to be in Asheville to understand ‘em.
When they get around to voting, don’t forget to vote for mine! I just hope they don’t expect us 3rd Shift workers to be awake to listen to a Morning Show!

I’ve no idea how to vote… I’m not sure what’s happening. I noticed when I sent mine in - no rules, really. I’m worried that they might be expecting us to listen to the show… ain’t gonna happen unless they’ve got a time delay feature :-)
So, I just stumbled across this old entry. Now I’m curious — did they ever hold the contest. Does Asheville now have an official city flag. What is it? Picture somewhere?

Steven - I only know of the contest (which I didn’t win). Click through the link to get to the contest page. But it wasn’t an “official” City contest.
