I’m reading two essays which, combined, are worthy of a proper blogging unto themselves. Yet, I’m getting ready for bed… So in the meanwhile, let me point out the essays to you and, using google, you may find others that are needed in the mix as well.
First is two reviews of the book, How to Read the Bible, written by James Kugel, a self-identified Orthodox Jew and, to coin a phrase, a “Modern Bible Scholar”.
Second is a question and answer between the author and a reader of his book.
Props to Daniel over at MyJewishLearning.
