Be Poets of the Logos!

Sarx (σαρξ) is the Greek word for "flesh". This is the blog of a Southern Man (sojourning in Buffalo, NY) attempting to follow God in the way of Jesus.

NB: I'm currently on a "Blogging Sabbatical" to celebrate my 15th Year of online Journaling. While "Daily Tweets", the occasional review of a book, movie or eatery and Photo Blogging all continue, the daily posts have stopped until January 2011. All comments are currently in moderation.

I who have written this story, or rather this fable, give no credence to the various incidents related in it. For some things in it are the deceptions of demons, other poetic figments; some are probable, others improbable; while still others are intended for the delectation of foolish men. Tiny Houses

Wired presents a slide show called Small and Fabulous: Modular Living as It Should Be. A collection of tiny houses. Now, these won’t work in your 15-child We-Own-A-Farm-and-No-Condoms kinda family, but for people worried about human impact on the environment, saving money, energy, or else for truly high-density community building, these are awesome!

And one is perfect for Modern Stylites.

(Here’s the TinyHome, as far as I’m concerned: a Katrina Cottage. I Love the 1.5 Bedroom Model.)

  • My mum really loves the Katrina cottages; I rather like them also, particularly since I’ve long loved the New Orleans prototype. We see a lot of KCs moving down the interstate around here, which makes me happy- they certainy beat trailer homes in the aesthetics department…

Totally. The whole trailer aesthetic only worked up until they started to build them like trashy homes. My grandparents had a trailer that was built in 1945… and you’ve never seen so much woodwork!
