God, Satan and You.

In talking with Todd the other day I began to wonder how people of varying religions view things like the car breaking down or winning the lottery. Are these “blessings from God” and “curses from Satan”? Are these unrelated events?
How do you interact with “Good” and “Evil” as personified forces?
I’ve installed Democracy, a polling plugin for WordPress, and I’d like to try it out, but also I want to know your ideas. Please answer the polling question and feel free to expound in the comments box.

I don’t really feel comfortable with any of the responses– as while I am firm in my belief of a Good One (at least), I’m agnostic on the ‘why things happen’ question. I think that the important thing for me is to remember that the ‘why’ is a question, not an explanation. Like you, I find the idea of faith as a conversation very attractive.
