First Amendment or First Amendment?

Archbishop Burke butts in where he is unwelcome. Again. Telling a basketball coach what not to say in support of political candidates. This annoys people to no end.
But I really did like this comment a lot:
It’s a well known fact that Catholics listen to the coaches of their sport teams for guidance in faith and morals more than they listen to the clergy. Why, if Knute Rockne hadn’t supported papal infallibity, it never would have become dogma.
That’s what the problem is, at heart. One of two things is going on: A) treating Catholic laity as if they are children who can’t tell the difference between a St Louis Cardinal and a St Louis Archbishop; or B) putting the lie to John F Kennedy’s truce with American politics - telling us clearly that Catholics can not be trusted to be in office and adhere to Church/State divisions.
