Right now I am unemployed, and I am doing volunteer work at the local library. The time goes fast, and it reminds me that I would love to work in a library or a bookstore. I have done both in the past. The money would not be so important (nor totally unimportant!), but it reminds me that I do not have to dread going to work or watch the clock, praying for the workday to end. Sanity is a value, and my last job drove me bananas.
I wish I lived near enough to a Border’s (or such) to apply for even a part time job!
Michael - Borders/Waldenbooks is a good company to work for. I worked for them in the 1990s and was quite happy to go back for this interview today.
