No one Expects the Spanish Inquisition!

Catholic News reports that Archbishop Emeritus Fernando Sebastian of Pamplona said Catholics should confront Socialist “cultural revolution”, says Spanish archbishop: with platitudes and rally calls! The entire article is littered with pious cliches and no content.
But there is this:
Politicians must be “put in their place” and not be allowed to legislate whatever they want.
Let me say that another way - Those persons freely elected by a majority of the people must not be allowed to legislate the majority will - but must be stopped by Conservative Catholics.
Watch out Spain: the inquisition started that way.
Spain is not the only country that needs to watch out on this score.
For that matter, some of us may be inclined to say, “Clerics must be put in their place and not be allowed to legislate whatever they want.” Hmmm?
