Ooh! I haven’t seen Father David Hoopes in years!
Ah, I love the monkishness of it all!
I love the ‘monkishness’ as well!
When I was a Methodist… not knowing much at all about ECUSA, I heard of OHC’s Confraternity of the Christian Life. I became a member of the Confraternity in 1980, I think, or maybe 81. Later, my first Episcopal rector, John Osgood, was a member of the Associates of the Holy Cross. All through college I’d go on retreat at the West Park house.
Although when I was at 815, I worked with many members of the BSG, it was the OHC that, even now, holds a prime place in my heart.
