Status Update
So, yesterday I had lunch with my boss, John. We went to the City Grill I had the pulled pork with cold slaw and very tasty fries, John had catfish. Not even Secretaries’ Day! Over lunch we agreed that, starting today, I’d be John’s assistant, replacing my friend, Cristie, who departed on Wednesday for warmer climes.
It’s a hefty raise (20% - pretty close to my Asheville wages), my own office, and a lot more responsibility. I also get my own office - first time in all my employment. I’m looking forward to the challenge.

don’t mess it up. no, I’m just kidding. that’s great news huw. congratulations. fyi an increase of 20% often requires a career more to another position with another company, so this soon after being hired, is a blessing.
