Actually the goal was to be out here in Feb, but I guess that should have been a good inclination as to the job market. Although my fiance' said there are plenty out here, and should be able to land one right away. Well 4 months later and well over 200 applications in through Monster, Dice, Careerbuilder, numerous temp agencies, as well as direct applications and inquiries to McDonalds, 7-Eleven, Gas Stations, and what not; I have managed to land 2 phone interviews, 2 temp agency interviews, and one actual job interview at McD's down the street. At least in Asheville I had free cable, Company truck, my own place and a paycheck. After speaking with many people this is the word on the street. Sorry our company just had a hiring freeze, no we are not hiring right now, business is down we just let some people go, and we are getting many clients except for senior positions which are taking over the roles of multiple mid and entry level positions. As of now the wedding for July has been called off indefinitely. Right now I am looking at it as work is work, certainly would be ideal to work in a field I excel in like Desktop support, Graphics Design, or Telecommunications (Cat 5e, Fiber, Coax), and am open to any leads.
