The following has just arrived from an Anonymous Tipster out in radio-land. I think we need to get ready: we may have already missed the rapture.
It finally happened, and I think the apocalypse has begun. I was watching a political commentary program and Pat Buchanan and the Democratic “strategist” representative fully agreed on something. They both fully agreed that neither McCain nor Obama have changed their positions on Iraq. They both agreed that the press and their respective parties have been trying to exaggerate things each has said. They both agreed that the choice on this issue is between one candidate who wants to pull out as quickly as possible—while maintaining troop safety—and one who wants to stay in and probably build a couple of permanent bases, with an eye to danger from Iran. The Democratic guy, when asked, simply said that he yielded his time to Pat Buchanan since Pat was doing such a good job of explaining the realities!
I am starting to stock up on perishable goods, flashlights, etc. Maybe I can ride the first part of the Apocalypse out in some degree of safety!
