Christ is Risen!

Be Poets of the Logos!

Sarx (σαρξ) is the Greek word for "flesh". This is the blog of a Southern Man (sojourning in Buffalo, NY) attempting to follow God in the way of Jesus.

I am a priest in the Russian Orthodox Church in America (ROCIA). We are growing a Mission community here in Buffalo.

Disclaimer

I who have written this story, or rather this fable, give no credence to the various incidents related in it. For some things in it are the deceptions of demons, other poetic figments; some are probable, others improbable; while still others are intended for the delectation of foolish men. THE Illuminated initials for the top of posts are back! Inside you’ll find all the letters and a little ditty to explain all the images. These were first introduced in these pages on 6/21/2005. As I said back then (it took a while for me to learn my graphic lessons) I neglected to save larger copies of these images. One day I may get around to redoing the lot of ‘em. For now, here’s the set.

Since finding the image of St Usinicius back in 2005, I’ve not found anything about him. I wonder if I misspelled his name… Sarx is the only thing that comes up on a search for it!
