More on Ubuntu

EEMS Someone knew, right up front, what “Ubuntu” was. The new logo for GenCon (see here) has a rather homage-laden, passing family resemblance to the logo for the software:

Note the linked hands in a circle, note their shapes (stylised letter U with round ball heads) *and* the colours. The colour thing was pointed out to me by a geeky friend last night when I showed him the original post about using “Ubuntu” at all. He said, “They even got the colours right”. (The Ubuntu logo is available on a lot of products.)
I do happen to like the new logo - circle dancing is a tradition at St Gregory of Nyssa parish (where the logo was designed) and this seems an interesting and covert way to make the content of the Liturgy at St Gregory’s to be “used as the cover design for the General Convention Office, licensed by vendors and the Diocese of Los Angeles for their marketing, and will inform the design of the worship space and Church Center booth.”
Seems like quite a coup.
