Be Poets of the Logos!

Sarx (σαρξ) is the Greek word for "flesh". This is the blog of a Southern Man (sojourning in Buffalo, NY) attempting to follow God in the way of Jesus.

NB: I'm currently on a "Blogging Sabbatical" to celebrate my 15th Year of online Journaling. While "Daily Tweets", the occasional review of a book, movie or eatery and Photo Blogging all continue, the daily posts have stopped until January 2011. All comments are currently in moderation.

Disclaimer

I who have written this story, or rather this fable, give no credence to the various incidents related in it. For some things in it are the deceptions of demons, other poetic figments; some are probable, others improbable; while still others are intended for the delectation of foolish men. Dysfunction

ONLY RECENTLY have the liberals in ECUSA began to cover up their actions. I remember one priest insisting that the vast majority of clergy serve the BCP Liturgy exactly by the rubrics. To which I replied I’d never been to even *one* service that was so. Not one – in 25 years. I was promptly trashed. Evidently the current official line is “Really, we’re normal. We don’t do a thing odd.” Covert Retrogression. Moving forward in the closet.

Currently Episcopal Cafe is saying there is no debate about Jesus Divine Sonship in ECUSA.

They hedge their semantic and legalist bets: by pointing out that there is no such debate on official convention or council levels. But, of course, that denies the reality: of that debate occurring in Sunday School, Pulpits, Seminaries, sermons, monasteries, Clergy Blogs, retreat centres and what all, all over the church, all the time.

WTF ever. I posted something a little more civil over there: take whatever position you wish, but at least let’s be honest about the debate.
