Be Poets of the Logos!

Sarx (σαρξ) is the Greek word for "flesh". This is the blog of a Southern Man (sojourning in Buffalo, NY) attempting to follow God in the way of Jesus.

I am a priest in the Russian Orthodox Church in America (ROCIA). We are growing a Mission community here in Buffalo.

Disclaimer

I who have written this story, or rather this fable, give no credence to the various incidents related in it. For some things in it are the deceptions of demons, other poetic figments; some are probable, others improbable; while still others are intended for the delectation of foolish men. The Big Three – Meta-Post

As the current series winds down (I need only to add a conclusion) I’ve decided to add the previous series into it. The Invitation to communion (“With Faith and Love Draw Near!”) as well as the most recent post on Bible Reading as Tarot Reading, seems to me to be a full set with this series. I seem to be making some sort of a manifesto. It will take some major editing (for typos, certainly), some footnotes, some quotations and a serious going over by some people more learned than I, but I think it might all hang together as a book!

The menu below is replicated in the sidebar, It will be there until I move the entire series over to the Essay Page.

  1. Introduction

  2. Eucharist
  3. Incarnation
  4. Trinity
  5. Unwinding the Labyrinth
