Well, renting space at Antiochian Village is rather neutral, you're right. Although their tendency to be Mitred Baptists would be fixed by the ORthodox :-) Regarding the links, however - I meant that A) many of the ORthodox Converts are ex Anglicans, and, especially in the IRD-flavour of conservative exAnglicans, (Terry Mattingly, etc) there are many strong links (money, activism, etc) still present.

I think that there is less here than meets the eye.

According to the diocesan website, the sermon was delivered at the Chapel of Antiochian Village (for Anglicans of the Ligonier Valley). I think they wanted to have a service encompassing folks from several of their parishes, and rented the space from the Antiochians to do so. There is no indication that the event was co-sponsored or participated in by the Orthodox. They were just renting out some space.

given the links between conservative ex-Anglican Orthodox Converts and the Anglican Schism

ISTM that the word "links" is vague and therefore quite often tendentious. How specific and concrete are the "links" that you are talking about? Beyond a general sympathy towards those of other denominations who are trying to be (small-o) orthodox, I am not sure that there are any real links.

I actually think it would be a good thing if there were "links" between the ACNA folks and the Orthodox. It would give them (the ACNA people) a broader and deeper theological foundation, and give some hope that they might someday be something more than Baptists with mitres. As for Bp Iker's chumminess with Metr Jonah, I can only regard it as a hopeful thing. It mystifies me that Anglo-Catholics like Iker would give ACNA the time of day, rather than continue their Catholic faith and practice as WR Orthodox.
