Sarx (σαρξ) is the Greek word for "flesh". This is the blog of a Southern Man (sojourning in Buffalo, NY) attempting to follow God in the way of Jesus.

NB: I'm currently on a "Blogging Sabbatical" to celebrate my 15th Year of online Journaling. While "Daily Tweets", the occasional review of a book, movie or eatery and Photo Blogging all continue, the daily posts have stopped until January 2011. All comments are currently in moderation.

I who have written this story, or rather this fable, give no credence to the various incidents related in it. For some things in it are the deceptions of demons, other poetic figments; some are probable, others improbable; while still others are intended for the delectation of foolish men. Hello Death

So, to repeat my Twitter and facebook status, my Dad, Walter, had a heart attack today, at about 1PM. Mom called at about 1:30 to let me know. It was a stressful moment. To be honest I was very surprised at the amount of emotion that it brought up. My friends on FB and Twitter offered support and concern. Within a few moments prayers were offered from SF to MA and around to the UK. Instant connexion. And that much support is tangible. Thank you for your love. Dad is ok: he’s in hospital for a few days and will be on (yet another) pill for the rest ofhis life. But, thank God, seems like we survived again.
