Go raibh cead mile maith agat (100,000 thanks) to my friend Margaret for this fine and fragrant pile of California Bay leaves (Umbellularia Californica), which arrived in the mail today!!! Just ripping the corner even a little released as beautiful an odour as you can imagine! And there are berries as well!

  • I LOVE BAY!
    have my own bush growing in a pot on the patio. Bay flowers smell amazing! Make sure the leaves have dried at least two weeks before you cook with them – cuts out any bitterness.
