I love being a wedge issue.

    I found this line to be particularly humorous:

According to this equation, advances for gay rights in the United States are proof of a mounting gay threat to African culture, resulting in increased repression in countries like Uganda and Kenya.”

    Has anyone here read the novel “Things Fall Apart” by Chinua Achube? If you have, you will see the irony of conservative evangelicals criticizing an imperial West for undermining African values. Where do you think Africans got their homophobic values? From conservative, puritanical missionaries from the Church of England, that’s where.
