E ARE inaugurating a non-white President. He is the first non-white leader of our nation. And glory hallelujah, we’re finally breaking through that barrier. But the otherwise-more-liberal nations applauding us and welcoming us into the 21st century (Canada, the UK, Australia, Ireland, Germany, France, etc) have never had a non-white leader among them.
